1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using GaelicTimes Learning (the "Service"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service and that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms with you.

2. Service description and limitations

GaelicTimes Learning is an educational platform focused on practical digital skills, smart device literacy, safe everyday technology use, and guidance on device setup and maintenance. The Service may include written guides, checklists, workshop descriptions, learning resources, and contact channels for learning inquiries.

The Service is provided for educational purposes. We are not a device manufacturer and we do not provide official repair, warranty, or certified technical support. Device interfaces, settings, and features can vary by brand, model, and software version. You are responsible for verifying steps with your device documentation and for using appropriate caution, especially when dealing with electrical power, batteries, charging equipment, and network configuration.

We may update, improve, or discontinue parts of the Service from time to time. We do not guarantee that any specific feature, content item, or learning path will remain available indefinitely.

3. User obligations

You agree to use the Service lawfully and responsibly. You must not use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the platform, or interfere with any other user's use of the Service.

We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of educational content, and you acknowledge that device settings and workflows may differ based on hardware and software updates.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GaelicTimes Learning will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GaelicTimes Learning's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be limited to the amount you paid (if any) to GaelicTimes Learning in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or 100 EUR, whichever is lower.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless GaelicTimes Learning from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

9. Third-party links and resources

The Service may reference third-party products, device documentation, or resources for educational context. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party websites or services. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their terms and privacy policies.

10. Privacy

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by the laws of Ireland. The courts of Dublin, Ireland will have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you.

12. Dispute resolution

Before starting formal legal proceedings, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. This period begins when you send a written notice describing the issue and the resolution you are seeking.

If the dispute is not resolved after 30 days of informal discussions, either party may bring a claim in the courts specified in the Governing law and jurisdiction section above.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, used the Service unlawfully, or posed a security risk to the platform or other users.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. The following provisions will survive termination: Intellectual property, Disclaimer of warranties, Limitation of liability, Indemnification, Governing law and jurisdiction, Dispute resolution, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive.

14. Modifications to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, legal requirements, or operational practices. Changes take effect 14 days after they are posted on this page, unless a change must take effect sooner to comply with law or to address a security issue.

By continuing to use the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms, you agree to the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service.
